Which method of change resonated with me the most?

Exploring education, social entrepreneurship and collective organizing, I felt that these all resonated equally with me. With the issues we're working against being so complex, interlinked and intersectional, multi-prong approaches are often most effective in tackling systemic issues.

I also enjoyed the fact that the learning journey to explore education as an avenue of change featured a community-based school, by individuals affected directly by the problem they sought to solve. This deeply aligns with some of the work I do with refugee, migrant and stateless persons who do not have access to formal education.

On the other hand, urban farms is something close to my heart as I've always found agriculture as one of the most important and underlooked impact sector. With food security issues due to displacement of farmers and an aging farmer population in Malaysia, enabling the general public to invest in urban farms through social entrepreneur models would be both impactful and sustainable.

Lastly, collective organising is extremely vital in addressing the root problems corrupting our society today. Along with my strong interest in climate action, I was really glad to have had the chance to learn more on different ideas when it comes to advocating for climate justice and in strategising community organising for change.

• How can I learn from the model of HFSE to strengthen the community based schools in Malaysia for marginalised communities, especially on curriculum development and accreditation
• What are the pain points and success factors that lead to thriving urban farms and social enterprises to move beyond external grant funding
• How can community/collective organising be strengthened especially during slow periods or when hypes have died down
