🌏 Empowering Youth, Localizing the SDGs – My Journey as a CAYA Fellow

On 4th August 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct two back-to-back Movers Workshops in Dharashiv, Maharashtra, as part of my CAYA Advocacy Fellowship Capstone Project.

Across both sessions, I engaged with over 100 bright, curious students aged 16–18, discussing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and exploring how young people can be active changemakers in their communities. The sessions were interactive, bilingual (English & Marathi), and full of energy!

💡 What made this day special for me:

• I witnessed the spark of curiosity when students learned how their daily choices connect to global challenges.
• I discovered new perspectives from them — especially how local issues can have innovative grassroots solutions.
• Their enthusiasm reminded me that youth are not just the future — they are the present force for change.

Through activities, discussions, and shared stories, we explored the power of collaboration and the role of each individual in achieving the SDGs. These conversations left me more inspired, more informed, and more determined to keep contributing to this journey.
