Youthquake in Politics: Breaking the Chains of Old Power

As part of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance Fellowship, I took on a capstone project that asked a simple but explosive question: What happens when the youth stop waiting and start leading?

This project tears into the barriers that keep young people sidelined in politics apathy, gatekeeping, and outdated systems and flips the script by showcasing how youth across Asia are rewriting the rules of democracy.

The message is clear: we’re not the “leaders of tomorrow”; we’re the disruptors of today. Our voices matter, our choices matter, and our politics will no longer be dictated by age-old hierarchies.
