I did a project relating to improving the design of a Bata sneaker as part of my I&E (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) module in a group project worth 40% of our grades.
When we started this project, the main task was to improve upon the design defects that the Bata sneaker had through information via the internet, specifically through Google's search engine results, and using that information to identify and solve the issues to improve that product's sale performance.
As this was a project relating to the improvement for our product, we focused our attentions towards putting resources like budgeting on materials and organization of important components into a usable table chart to track our progress. We also came up with a few mock-ups to assist in our brainstorming sessions on how the design choices for the sneakers should be improved in a way that it was a near effective full-proof industry-standard solution that meets the quality expectations for our module in I&E.
In conclusion, we ended up finishing our project on time and got te mars we needed to pass the module. I've learnt that being a good speaker was especially important when doing presentations for the module, as well as learning to budget more efficiently to better manage finances for similar projects like the one mentioned.
