General statement– bring up possible problems in the weaponization of AI (mentioned in SG)

Briefly mention the US’ past actions, current actions, and contributions in global forms

Mention again USA’s role in weapons and AI

Specifically mention US’ past actions to show r&d progress, investment in AI research, such as:

Project Maven

DoD’s AI Strategy

DoD’s 5 Ethical AI Principles

NSCAI (National Security Commission on Artificial INtelligence)

US’ relation to NATO and what NATO has done

US’ role in Political Declaration on Responsible Military use of AI and Autonomy, and how this can be an international basis in creating an International Regulatory Framework or BECOME the IRF

Solutions

Endorse the Political Declaration on the Responsible Military Use of AI and Autonomy

Promote important international discussions and documents such as UNGA resolutions

Call upon the creation of an international AI weapons R&D database (that can be spearheaded by AI Companies such as OpenAI) to alleviate the AI weapons race (Strategically to gain US allies as well)

Emphasize the importance of human oversight in autonomous weapons

I'd appreciate it if someone took the time to make comments and give suggestions on how to improve it further, so I can base these in my future conferences
