Being in a choir taught me far more than just how to sing, it shaped my character and helped me develop valuable life skills. Through regular practices, I learned the importance of discipline and teamwork, as every member had to commit time and effort to ensure our voices blended seamlessly in harmony. It also trained me to listen actively, not only to my own part but to the group as a whole, fostering greater awareness and cooperation. Performing at various events, including the Singapore Youth Festival and ASR luminescence, strengthened my confidence and ability to stay composed under pressure, while managing rehearsals and practices alongside schoolwork honed my focus and time management skills. Beyond the musical experience, choir gave me a strong sense of community and belonging, where collaboration and mutual support were key to success. These lessons continue to add value by shaping me into a more resilient, empathetic, and dependable person which are qualities that are essential in both academic and professional environments.
