Padi Field

Today I didn't manage to take a look at the plantations at the place because I was sick, but i managed to look at souvenirs at the coffee plantation. However, one of the main highlights of the trip would be the Padi Field where we had to plant the seedlings into the river.

Honestly I found it really fun, i thought initially we didn't had to go down and the only guys had to but unfortunately I was wrong... In the end one moment I found so memorable was when Sheila started splashing everyone with the muddy water and everybody started screaming.

I was really scared that I would fall down and embarass myself but thankfully I didn't and we eventually went in and I found it so funny because everybody started screaming because of the muddy water.

But I found it fun because it was kind like playing with slime and one moment I found really funny was that everybody's shoes was stuck and I experienced what quicksand was like for the first time in life.

Eventually, I just gave up and went barefoot to feel the muddy water in my toes, and it was quite fun because I experienced first hand what it is like to be a rice farmer, and I didn't know that it would be this tiring and laborious.

But i find that my appreciation for rice farmers have grown, and I actually found it fun because of the people around me.

Reflection

From this experience, I found that I have a deeper appreciation of rice farmers and I honestly this experience I would not get to experience it in my entire life, and I really appreciate the people who planned and made this activity work.

I also understand deeper about the process of rice farming and this has helped me to be more empathetic especially for farmers or people with laborious jobs that single handedly plant rice seedlings and harvest them

Art Market

For the art market, there were many shops around and it was a really fun experience because I got to shop and negotiate prices but also shop around and buy back some souvenirs for my family.

Overall for the day I felt that it was a really interesting and fun experience with the people and friends around me, and it made me grow a deeper appreciation for my food as well as the hard work put in into making rice. I also laughed alot and it was honestly one of the highlights of this trip.
