Publishing My First Picture Book!

Thank you everyone for coming out to the book launch of my first picture book, Don't Call Me Cute!

I've been working on this project since 2018, and it's been a labour of love every step of the way, from the birth of the idea to final publication. Through this process, I learnt what it takes to stick to a project to the very end!

In my senior year at university, I took a class called "Illustrating Children's Books." Studying at a liberal arts college meant that I had subject "distribution" requirements to fulfil (all students had to take at least 2 Science classes, 2 Math classes, 2 Art classes and so on...). For some reason or other, I had left my art credits for my final year. Browsing the art course catalogue, a class called "Illustrating Children's Books" looked interesting. It wasn't like I had a particular interest in illustrating children's books at that point, but it was taught by a famous illustrator, Ilse Plume, so I decided to give it a shot - and now here we are!
