In the arena of global politics, the silence of young people is not a quiet of contentment, but often a silence of exclusion and of doors perceived as difficult to peek into. My Capstone Project for the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Advocacy Fellowship 2025 was born from a simple but powerful belief which is - a whisper, when amplified by a collective will, can become a chorus that shapes the future.
From this belief, the Movers Workshop was designed not just to inform but to ignite. It was a deliberate act of building an ecosystem. I sought to move beyond theoretical and plant instill the curiosity and enthusiasm of practical and rights-based leadership within the vibrant youth community of the University of Rajshahi.
My mission was to demystify. The energy was radiating amongst us. It was a sound of curiosity meeting opportunity, of ambition finding its course. The most key takeaway of mine is that the future of democracy dos not lie in waiting for an invitation to the table. it lies in our courage to build new spaces and to ensure that every young person knows their voice is not just welcome but essential.
