Hey everyone!
I wanted to open a discussion up about the topic of mental health. I observe the well-known resources, in Singapore context, are the only ones youths truly find out about when they are seeking help. The information of the ground-ups etc are usually spread through word of mouth, and how much does that help for someone who doesn’t have a support system? The well-known resources are exceeding its limits, the ground-ups have minimal traction and the details of the process to seek help is basically like a secret or clouded with stigma.
What are your thoughts on this? Especially for other RVI friends who are not from Singapore, how is it like? If you know me, you would know that mental health is something personal and important to me and I’m still figuring out what would be most ideal solution for this problem?
During ASEAN Irregulars, my team and I proposed a search engine. Thinking of it, I have some hesitance on the reach of it. We proposed Telegram bot, though our skillsets aren’t there yet. I was thinking Notion database, but how does one promote that? Then, I thought about using a website, though it will take a decent time… Gosh everything has its pros and cons.
I want to know if you’ve come up with anything! Maybe if this is something you’ve experienced, what did you wish for as a solution, no matter how idealistic it is.
Love,
Angie 🤍🧸
P.S. I think I will be posting more here !!
