It has been 1 and a half years since I stepped into ITE. Throughout my 3-year Higher Nitec in AI Applications course, I have been exposed to a wide range of modules — from foundational topics in my first year to more advanced core modules this year. I’ve had the opportunity to explore coding and apply it across different modules and projects. Group work has also been a big part of my learning, helping me collaborate effectively, contribute meaningfully to a team, and improve my communication skills.
In our capstone project, a facial mugshot capturing system, my role has included managing Excel spreadsheets, preparing documentation, and co-designing the infographic. For my Understanding Entrepreneurship (UEN) project, our team worked on a “QuickFix” concept, where I contributed by completing assigned tasks and editing the presentation video in CapCut — syncing voice recordings with slides for a polished final product.
These experiences have taught me valuable lessons in patience, adaptability, and problem-solving, while also sharpening my technical skills in coding and using software tools. I’ve become more confident in presenting my work, even though I am still naturally shy. I see this journey as just the beginning — shaping me not only as a student, but as someone preparing to take on future challenges in the tech world.
