Kawsa Philippines: Claim Your Space Summit

Yesterday at the Kawsa Philippines: Claim Your Space Summit, I learned more about Republic Act No. 11313, also known as the Bawal Bastos Act, and realized that harassment is never “just a joke” because everyone deserves to feel safe in public and online spaces. The summit reminded me that claiming your space isn’t about being loud or aggressive, but about knowing your worth and understanding that you deserve respect and safety. It inspired me to be more aware of my actions, knowing that change starts with small actions and with people choosing to stand up for what’s right.
