My experience

I’m from green club CCA and I joined a programme called HDB community by my CCA to server for the elders.
As a member of the Green Club CCA, I took part in an HDB community programme where we worked together with the elderly to promote sustainability. During the session, we reused plastic bottles to plant and water small plants, encouraging eco-friendly habits. To show our appreciation to the elderly participants, we prepared small handmade gifts such as bracelets, masks, and phone straps. Through this activity, I learned more about teamwork, caring for the environment, and building connections between youth and seniors in our community.
my CCA made me to participate and made me gain a experience with the elders and the elderly people were really friendly and they communicated with us and even thanked us for arranging these.

The challenges I faced were that some of them communicated in Chinese and I did not understand them I had to ask my friend for help it was really hard for me when I could not communicate with them when they ask me in chinese. From this I learnt to be more open minded as the people there had different skills and different mindset
