Experiencing rice fields for the first time

Today didn't have much deep thoughts. Today was really an experiencing things with friends. The coffee experience was nice but not much there. The rice planting experience was the one that stood out. Before that though, during the brainstorming ideas by MPH, I wasn't really nice to my groupmate Josiah. When he was asking a question to the facilitator, I answered him despite him just wanting to double confirm. Later on, he told me its not nice to interupt him and I apologised. It really is rude of me to do that as if I was on the receiving end, being interupted is like disrespectful. From there, I just told him i'll make sure to change myself and I will follow through with it.

The rice planting was also extremely fun, understanding and going through the hard work farmers have to go through to put rice on everyone's table helped me to understand more about how traditional farming works. Instead of like vertical farming. Seeing everyone have fun and laughing while people fall and work hard also brought a smile to my face as sometimes, everyone is just in their own friend groups and only during large activities involving everyone does everyone have the opportunity to mix around and have fun.

During dinner, that was where I had the 1st deep talk with my groupmates. I found out more about their past, aspirations and lore in general. That really gave a better understanding of the lives they lived and know more about their life story. Understand them as a human instead of like how is ur business, what is your start up idea, how u running ur start up and how is ur funding going. We didn't have much of that, instead we talked about our CCAs, hobbies, relationships, past experiences in life and why they even joined poly to begin with. Something that as humans we should be talking about instead of superficial things like gosipping about others and just business business business.
