Introducing myself

Hi, I’m Avika! I’m a designer from India and I recently graduated with First Class Honours in Product Design from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. I was Project Manager of the Tapestry Project, a social-impact storytelling initiative that I helped take from concept to public exhibition. I’ve also exhibited twice at Singapore Design Week.

Why I want to join

Moving between India and Singapore showed me how much young people gain from spaces where they can share ideas, find collaborators and be heard. Singapore gave me that, and I want to help bring the same spirit to India through RVI, while growing as a facilitator.

What I hope to achieve for youth in India

• Map what young people care about and what holds them back
• Host safe, open spaces through Tropical Talks and Friday Fries Nights
• Mentor volunteers into leaders who start their own initiatives
• Connect Indian youth with peers and opportunities across Southeast Asia
