My Internship 2025

I interned at Universal Studios Singapore, working as a retail associate at Minion Marketplace, which was the new retail store located at the new site, Minionland. My internship first started with 3 days of training, learning about important values taught in USS to serve guests and provide them with any help possible within the park. But as soon as I started working as a retail associate, I realised how hard it was to work retail. The first day felt like hell due to the fact that I was too inexperienced in this side of the workforce, and I was too nervous to do my job. But I knew that I needed to lock in and do my job well and properly if I wanted to survive for the next 3 months. Despite the first 3 weeks feeling so tiring, I slowly but surely got used to the workload and eventually gained my momentum. Although it felt almost robotic, I knew that I did not have a choice and had to do it for the sake of my grade and my coworkers. Working at USS has made me realise how mentally tough you need to be working at a tourist site, having to handle guests who are either hard to understand or hard to deal with, and topping ontop of it, you still need to restock the store, handle payment at the register, and many more. Despite all of this, I feel grateful to be able to do my internship at a prestigious and famous company such as RWS
