Another Year Older, Another Year Wiser

June is coming to an end, which also means I’m now another year older. I’ve spent the last 7 to 8 months planning for my special day. Even though some people questioned me, asking, “What’s so special about turning 27?”

Honestly, there isn’t any deeper meaning behind celebrating my 27th birthday. What I wanted was simply to take this day as a moment of reflection and appreciation for the people I love and who have supported me over the years. I’m truly blessed and grateful to have friends and family I trust and love walking this journey with me. And if I were to leave this life behind one day, I want my loved ones to rest assured that I’ve lived a fulfilling and blissful life.

When I was seated at the other end of the table, with everyone singing the birthday song for me, it was a truly heartening moment, to have all the people I care about surrounding me.

As content as I am with life, I’m still driven. Driven by the desire for new experiences, newfound passions, hobbies, and motivations that push me to become a better version of myself. Some have told me that passion doesn’t last; that it dies out. To that, I say: I’m happy to prove you wrong. I’m more determined than ever to prove myself.

I’m excited and eager to witness my own growth in the years to come. But I know I need to be patient. Only time will reveal the fruits of my efforts.

To everyone who has crossed paths with me and cared for me, thank you. Thank you for walking beside me on this journey of growth and for shaping the person I am today.
