CAYA Movers – Youth Political Participation (YPP) Level 1 | Online Session 2

On 19th August, we had another inspiring session of the CAYA Movers Workshop on Youth Political Participation (Level 1), bringing together passionate young changemakers from across regions to explore the importance of active citizenship and political engagement.

This session was all about:

✅ Understanding why youth political participation matters, not just as a right, but as a driver of inclusive governance and sustainable change.

✅ Reflecting on the barriers that limit participation, from social perceptions to systemic challenges.

✅ Exploring the Ladder of Participation and recognizing how we can move from symbolic involvement to meaningful influence.

✅ Sharing personal reflections and ideas on how youth and all citizens can play a stronger role in shaping India’s and the world’s democratic future.

What stood out most was the energy, honesty, and creativity participants brought into discussions proving that when young voices are heard, they bring fresh perspectives and long-term vision.
