My journey in Immersive Applications and Game

Hi, my name is Darius Ng. I am 18 years old, studying in Immersive Applications and Game. I got to this course through EAE during my final year in secondary school.

I started to like coding when I was in Primary 5. It is through a holiday workshop I signed up for. It is called Scratch. It was fascinating.

When I entered secondary school, I signed up for Javascript course. From then, I knew what I want to do for my ITE course. So here I am in Immersive Applications and Game course.

I didn't know what to expect from this course and the environment was new when school term started. The orientation was an ice-breaker to get to know my new friends.

During my past 3 months in ITE Immersive Applications and Game course, I have learnt about the commands and features in Cisco Packet Tracer. I found it hard to remember them at first, but with a little practice and revision, it was much easier. I also learnt about basic wireless connectivity, about connecting a PC or laptop to a wireless network. During my past tests, I tried to put all that knowledge to my mind, but it didn't really turn out well. I managed to pass it.

I also learnt about Excel. This is already something I have learnt during my years in secondary school. All the functions and formulas I have learnt were similar.

I hope to pursue diploma after completing this course in ITE. My dream is to become a game designer.
