My Experience and Takeaways from Hosting the Movers’ Workshop

Hosting my own Movers Workshop on Youth Political Participation was both challenging and rewarding. With 23 registrations and 20 participants from 6 countries, the session highlighted how much young people are eager to talk about informed political choices and rational voting.

My biggest learning as a facilitator was that participation grows when discussions are relatable. When participants shared their real-life struggles from misinformation to lack of civic education the conversation became alive. I also learned the importance of preparation and creating interactive spaces online.

This experience has given me confidence to lead more youth advocacy workshops in the future. It also reinforced my belief that political participation must move from tokenism to real, meaningful involvement.
