The Safe Spaces Act taught me that respect and safety should be practiced in all environments, and that even simple actions like unwanted comments or staring can already be considered harassment. I learned that creating a safe space is everyone’s responsibility, not just by avoiding harmful behavior, but also by promoting respect and speaking up when needed. This made me more aware and empathetic, especially toward actions that may seem normal but can actually make others uncomfortable.
