AI Competition

Me and my teammate, Jenisha, participated in AI Singapore's National AI Student Challenge (NAISC) back in March 2025. Our topic was Predictive Maintenance and Productivity Loss Analysis for Industrial Machinery, where we built a supervised learning model to predict machine failures and productivity loss using the provided dataset on the DataRobot website.

When we initially started this challenge, we had a meeting in the school library to plan out the whole timeline of the project; what we wanted to accomplish, what requirements need to be fulfilled and what kind of end result we wanted to see. However, despite all the planning, we were still confused and stressed as the details of the competition was not very clear and that it was our first time creating any kind of AI. But we stayed optimistic and tried to learn everything from data analysis to prediction results.

Although we faced a lot of challenges during this competition, I learn a lot about the process of AI creation and perseverance as we got to show our project in front of judges.
