Attending the summit made me realize that silence is not always the right response, especially when something feels wrong. As a student leader, I learned that what we often treat as β€œnormal,” like certain jokes or comments, can harm others, and it is our responsibility to speak up and promote respect. This initiative not only helped me, but also empowers me to share these learnings with my organization and the students we represent. It reminded me that safe spaces are built through everyday actions, and I am committed to using my voice to help create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and safe.
