Day 1 at the Commonwealth Asian Youth Alliance (CAYA) Fellowship started with a vibe I didn’t know I needed: a full-on reality check about the power of digital presence. 😅
I walked in thinking, “Cool, networking, discussions, maybe some group projects…” but by the end of the day, I realized it was way deeper than that. The sessions weren’t just about youth leadership or regional collaboration—they were about making sure your ideas, your work, your story, actually reach people. And in today’s world, that happens online. 💻✨
We explored how digital portfolios aren’t just fancy resumes—they’re living, breathing spaces where your journey, projects, reflections, and growth are visible to the world. Imagine all the hours we spend learning, creating, experimenting… and they just vanish if no one sees them. That’s the “aha!” moment that hit me.
For me, it was personal. Growing up, I always had ideas—small projects, campaigns, or just random thoughts—but no structured space to showcase them. Day 1 of CAYA made me realize: this portfolio isn’t just a requirement—it’s a chance to give my ideas a life of their own. 🌱
So here I am, on RVI, ready to turn all those scattered ideas into something tangible. This is where I’ll document my journey, reflections, and little wins from the fellowship. And maybe, just maybe, inspire someone else to create their own digital story too.
After all, in this era, if your story isn’t online, does it even exist? 😉
