AC4 Entry

Hey everyone! I’m Jhananya, a 17-year-old Junior College student exploring leadership, community impact, and service spaces—and a dedicated cat lover! (Fun fact: despite living in Singapore for 16 years, I’ve somehow never tried durian or pandan before 😱).
Growing up, I’ve often felt like an "irregular" within standard education structures. Rather than quietly fitting into pre-defined boxes, I decided early on that I wanted to step outside of prescribed pathways and actively shape my own journey. That drive to step beyond the conventional is precisely what drew me to River Valley Irregulars in the first place.
Having attended RVI events for a while, I’ve experienced firsthand the sheer passion, dedication, and intentionality the team pours into every initiative. RVI didn't just host events for me; it provided a genuine sense of belonging and inspired me to view community-building through a new lens. Because this space has impacted me so deeply, I want to pay it forward.
These are just some of the things that I took away: 1. You don't have to always be the best person, as long as you have passion and drive you can achieve what you set your mind to.
2. Being unconventional doesn't mean you're behind, it means you're fighting to find out where you truly are meant to be
3. People support people. No matter how competitive things feel sometimes, it's 100% true that your community is in it with you.
Joining the Ambassadors' Circle is my way of giving back to the community that welcomed me, ensuring people feel the exact same energy, vision, and warmth that I did.Through this opportunity, I hope to hone my public speaking, moderation, and facilitation skills while learning to navigate room dynamics with empathy and confidence. Beyond personal growth, I want to learn how to cultivate meaningful, long-lasting spaces for others. I’m eager to learn from industry leaders, collaborate with like-minded peers who challenge my perspectives, and eventually build my own community initiatives that empower other young people to embrace their unique paths.
