Throughout the Video Creation module, I learned a wide range of camera shots and techniques that helped me understand how videos are planned, captured, and edited to tell a story or convey a message effectively. Some of the key shots I learned include:

• Wide Shot (WS) – Used to show the full scene or environment and to establish the setting.
• Medium Shot (MS) – Commonly used for conversations or to focus on the subject from the waist up.
• Close-Up (CU) – Shows details like facial expressions or small objects to create emotional impact or focus.
• Tracking Shot – Follows the subject as it moves, often used to create a dynamic and engaging scene.
• Tilt and Pan Shots – These are camera movements used to reveal more of the scene or to follow action.
• High Angle and Low Angle Shots – Used to create different effects; for example, making a character look powerful or vulnerable.

Throughout my experience I felt nervous I didn’t want to mess up the shots or forget the shot types. But with practice, I became more confident in setting up the camera, framing the scene properly, and planning which shot types to use. Working on the projects also helped improve my creativity skills. I had to brainstorm ideas, create a storyboard, film scenes, and edit them, i feel like im a producer doing all the work which is super fun.

I also enjoyed the editing process, where I got to see how important timing, music, and transitions are in creating a smooth and engaging video. I learned how different shots can change the feeling or meaning of a scene.

This module helped me become more creative, taught me how to tell a story visually, and gave me a strong foundation in video production. I now understand how much effort goes into making even a short video, and I’m proud of what I’ve learned and created.
