My Experience at the CYC Youth Consultative Dialogue in Windhoek, Namibia

From August 4th to 8th 2025, I participated in the Commonwealth Youth Council's first consultative dialogue held at the Country Club in Namibia. This week-long event helped me ignite some of my passions for politics, diplomacy, policy and philosophy.

We covered topics in climate change, job creation, social inclusion and got to see first-hand (in reality, not Model United Nations, which is a simulation) how the Commonwealth Youth Council actually conducts its dialogues, which affect at least half of the world.

I love these international events because not only am I a global citizen who loves international relations, but I get to meet people who are also passionate about environmental management, climate change, resource governance and geopolitics like myself. I also got to meet my future work colleagues dear to my lifelong service towards our Public, our Government, The Commonwealth, SADC, SACU and the African Union. Pretty soon I will be attending as a VVIP.

Thank you to the team that made this event unforgettable. I had so much fun because I built lifelong relationships and genuine friendships. Thanks to my partners, the Namibian National Youth Service plus the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture for bringing my Commonwealth family home. They don’t call Namibia the cradle of mankind for nothing!
