My Math Olympiad Experience

I joined Math Olympiad in secondary school to gain more credit and also because I love math.

When I was focusing my revision more on math, I knew what I wanted was to score big numbers for my class. While revising, I watched Math Olympiad videos and tips and tricks on TikTok.

I was a bit worried about the competition as there are hard questions like, "Which is bigger? 3²⁰⁰ or 2³⁰⁰?" or "What is the 100th single number integer in the following sequence? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 98, 99, 100", and because of that, I needed to skip a few questions so I can finish the ones I know. But luckily I watched the videos and shorts, so the amount of questions I skipped weren't a lot.

But then while studying for Math Olympiad, I forgot about my other subjects, and their homework keeps stacking up. I was able to finish them right before the deadline, but they were not done well. After this incident, I've learnt not to focus so much on one topic, and to make sure everything is done ahead of time.

In the end I didn't achieve my goal... But I have learnt a lot on how to study, revise, and how to do better next time this opportunity arrives again!
