Today was the third last day of our trip, and we began with a panel dialogue featuring Hermit from MPH Bali, whom we met yesterday at the plantation, as well as Nopi, a laundry business owner. Nopi shared his entrepreneurial journey and the struggles he faced while building his business. One particularly memorable moment was when he revealed that he had used his entire savings to purchase a second-hand washing machine as his first investment. Before starting his business, he worked in a hotel, but when COVID-19 hit, he lost his job and had no income. With no alternative sources of financial support, he took a leap of faith, believing that starting his own business was his best shot at securing a livelihood. His resilience and determination were truly inspiring.
After the dialogue, we spent a few hours refining our pitch for tomorrow’s presentation. In the evening, we had some free and easy time, during which my friends and I walked to Legian Beach and Beachwalk Shopping Centre for dinner. We wrapped up the night with some shopping and a relaxing foot massage before heading back. It was a laid-back but fulfilling day.
