The Movers Session on Youth Political Participation reshaped how I see the role of young people in decision-making. It’s not enough to simply be in the room rather we need meaningful inclusion, where youth are heard, trusted, and empowered to influence change.
Politics is not just about parties or elections; it’s in every choice, every conversation, and every action that shapes our communities. This session reminded me that our voices carry weight, not because we represent “the future,” but because we are stakeholders in the present.
Meaningful participation means engaging with purpose, speaking with courage, and leading with authenticity. And it begins when we stop waiting for permission to act, and start building the tables where our voices can shape the agenda.
