Claim Your Space Experience and Insights

The Claim Your Space: National Youth Forum made me realize that men, women, and LGBTQIA+ individuals all have equal roles in building a safe, respectful, and inclusive society. Through the insights of speakers like Mr. Roland De Vera and Dr. Moniq M. Muyargas, I learned that creating safe spaces requires both strong policies and deep understanding of people’s lived experiences. Their perspectives showed that change happens when individuals become responsible, aware, and willing to stand up for others—men as respectful allies, women as empowered leaders, and LGBTQIA+ individuals as courageous voices of identity and truth. This made me reflect that claiming our space is not about overpowering others, but about ensuring that everyone is heard and valued. I am inspired to take part in promoting inclusivity and to help build a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to be themselves.
