About my part time job

About my part time job , I work as a barista . It was during December and I didn't want to be staying at home all the time so I found a pet time job to get myself occupied which made me learn many things in my part time job .

When I first joined the job I was very introvert and had no idea what to do unless someone tells me what I had to do , that awakard period lasted about two weeks . When my manager taught me that communicating with other coworkers could be better I started adapting to the work environment and managed to communicate more with my coworkers . When times are quiet , we could talk about our experience of other jobs or even crack some jokes to make the working environment more fun .
During peak hours there was lots of customer waiting for they're drink to be served , so me and my coworkers had to work together in different post that work out the best for each person . Teamwork and communication is most important in that period of time , communicating could help to decrease the time needed to make a drink such as one person adding in ingredients and one person adding ice . It could also lower the chance of accident happening too .
Accidents happen sometimes . Challenged I faced in my part time job was I spilled the drink and I was stunned and had no idea what to do . My coworkers then comfort me that is ok and asked me to remake the drink and serve it to the costumer . Other challenges I faced was communicating with the costumer . When I first communicate with them I had no idea what to say , but after I learned many things in the job as time pass and watching how my other coworkers does it , I became more confident in handling costumers issues . When new coworkers joined the job I could teach them what I had learned so they could communicate with costumers when other coworkers are busy which will also help them to increase in their confidence .
Overall , even though I had left my part time job , I still have those skills I learned from my part time job as it was a memorable experience . And that the skills I have learned , it could be a foundation for me on the future if I decided to take back the same job or other jobs.
