CAYA Fellowship on Youth Political Participation.

Better late than never,
On July 28, 2025, I attended the CAYA Fellowship's second session on youth political participation, a joint effort with the UNDP's Movers Programme.

The session challenged my view of political participation, highlighting the importance of advocacy and grassroots action beyond just voting. We explored how to overcome the barriers that silence youth voices and how to build truly inclusive political spaces.

A major point for me was recognizing the disconnect between the large youth population and their minimal representation in leadership. It's a gap that needs to be closed, and that change begins with us.
