My Goals and Intentions for the CAYA Youth Advocacy Fellowship

I believe that young people have the power to shape a better world, and I am committed to being part of that change. My goal in joining the CAYA Youth Advocacy Fellowship is to strengthen my capacity as a youth leader, learn how to advocate more effectively, and turn ideas into action that benefits my community and beyond.

Through this fellowship, I hope to gain new skills in communication, campaign planning, and policy advocacy tools that will help me raise awareness about the issues young people care about most. I also look forward to connecting with like-minded peers and mentors from different backgrounds, learning from their journeys, and growing together as changemakers.

My intention is to bring everything I learn back to my community, empowering others to speak up, get involved, and believe in their ability to make a difference. I want to be a catalyst for youth-led progress whether it’s through education, innovation, or social justice and I see this fellowship as a stepping stone to even greater impact in the future.

With passion, purpose, and collaboration, I know we can create positive change and I’m excited to begin that journey with CAYA.
