For the second time, I had the privilege of serving on the organising committee for the International Model United Nations (IMUN) at University of Asia and the Pacific in Ortigas, Manila Philippines 2025. πΊπ³π΅π
The event featured diverse participants from multiple countries, and I had the unique opportunity to meet ambassadors accredited to the Philippines, representing their embassies stationed in Manila. Among them were H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Sarwar Mahmood of the Bangladesh Embassy, Ambassador Lai Thai Binh of the Vietnam Embassy, and Deputy Head of Mission Ms. Erica Duffy from the Embassy of Ireland, all of whom delivered keynote speeches on the first day.
Being part of the committee again allowed me to contribute to planning and executing a large-scale international event, strengthening my skills in event logistics, stakeholder communication, and team coordination, while ensuring a smooth experience for participants and guests alike.
This experience reinforced the importance of proactive problem-solving, meticulous organisation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Serving again on the IMUN organising committee strengthened my leadership abilities and gave me the privilege of contributing to a platform that empowers students through diplomacy, global dialogue, and meaningful international engagement. πΌπ€΅π»ββοΈ
