Homecoming 2025!

On 22 November 2025, my sister and I attended our secondary school's homecoming to fulfill our irresistible need to check how the school has changed after our graduation. Since I graduated in 2022 and my sister graduated in 2020, the idea of returning back to the place we once called our second home is exciting yet terrifying.

Once we entered the school gates, I felt all the memories flooding back in. The first place I looked for was the art room, which was my favorite place to chill and finish my N-Level work in 2022. Next, we headed to the canteen area where there's a few booths selling food and drinks, there's even a matcha stall! My sister and I spent time buying food from the different stalls provided and talked about our time back in secondary school, from the people to the facilities.

Speaking of facilities, the school environment is brighter since they painted some parts of the school. After a lot of reminiscing with my sister, we headed to the hall. The hall was filled with hundreds of people catching up with each other and a few carnival games was hosted in sections of the hall. I managed to catch up with a few familiar faces such as my form teacher, who introduced me to Warhammer and took care of my class for the past 4 years, and my computer applications teacher, who taught me how to use Microsoft apps like excel and word (which helped me a LOT in WSDip) for the past 4 years too!

Ended the day with a photobooth session alongside my sister, watched a memoir of the school filled with others perspectives/memories of the school and sang the school anthem. Overall, I find it beautiful that the air was filled with joy and nostalgia, and even when we're always busy working for our future, we never forget where we came from. Can't wait for the next homecoming!
