To give some context, I attended a workshop on facilitation a year ago alongside my fellow Ambassador Circle (AC) friends on a Saturday. I've never thought that the following year, I would be one of the facilitators for the same workshop and guiding my juniors of RVI on a Saturday (I feel old writing this😆)
To be frank, I had the same feeling compared to my previous experience, only because I feared giving off monotone vibes throughout the workshop & fearing my juniors would not enjoy the workshop. However, I did not put as much high expectations on myself as higher expectations means I'm more likely to feel disappointment and upset that I couldn't accomplish my goal of the workshop.
Glad I didn't. The workshop went pretty smoothly! As people say energy comes in waves, the energy of the room slowly built up into a room full of laughter, curiosity and enthusiasm. Despite missing a few marks, I was glad to see the juniors enjoying themselves and engaging in the activities that was planned by the wonderful RVI Team.
Speaking of the RVI Team, I would like to thank Ash, Daryl & Alicia for giving Mikaail this opportunity to showcase our skills practical wise and guiding us throughout the process (Pre-Workshop & Post-Workshop).
I'm eternally grateful to have Mikaail facilitating with me too! This workshop is actually the first time Mikaail and I got the opportunity to work together, and both of us using our strengths to ensure the workshop goes smoothly works wonders.
To end off, this is one of the very few one-full circle moments in my life and I'm proud to experience this with RVI. I hope that when another opportunity comes, I can break off my comfort zone and work on my weakness on-the-field itself!
