Knowledge That Protects: My Journey Through the Safe Spaces Act Summit

Attending this summit was truly meaningful, as it helped me deepen my understanding of the Safe Spaces Act and its importance. As a student, I’ve heard of cases where individuals experience sexual harassment both in person and online, and with this knowledge, I feel more prepared to guide and support victims—especially in my role as a student leader. It also made me realize how important it is to create a safe and respectful environment where everyone feels heard, protected, and valued.


Beyond gaining knowledge, the summit inspired me to be more proactive in raising awareness and standing up against any form of harassment. I now understand that change begins with being informed and having the courage to act when needed. I’m truly grateful to Kawsa Philippines for organizing this summit and for continuing despite technical challenges. Thank you, KAWSA!
