As part of my journey with the CAYA Advocacy Fellowship, I successfully conducted my Movers Workshop on Youth Political Participation (Level 1) on 27th August 2025 via Google Meet. The session brought together 41 participants from Bangladesh and beyond, creating a diverse and engaging learning environment.π
During the workshop, we explored the importance of youth participation in politics and decision-making, reflecting on why young voices are essential for building inclusive governance. We also discussed the barriers that often prevent young people from engaging in political spaces, ranging from lack of awareness to structural challenges. Finally, the session focused on practical ways that youth can influence change both inside decision-making rooms and within their communities, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
The enthusiasm and active engagement of participants made the session highly interactive. It was inspiring to hear their perspectives, experiences, and innovative ideas for strengthening youth political participation.π
This experience strengthened my facilitation skills, deepened my understanding of youth political engagement, and reaffirmed my belief that youth voices matter and can shape inclusive governance.π‘
I am grateful to my peers, the participants, and the CAYA Fellowship team for their guidance and support throughout this journey. Looking forward to the next stage of the fellowship and to continuing this movement for meaningful youth participation! β¨
