Takeaways from honing my voice

Earlier today, I have just completed a workshop on voice acting, and I must say that it has greatly deepened by appreciation for voice acting and the arts.

Being a student who mostly excels in science and struggles to satisfy his aspirations in the arts, I have started to find the typical study life in Junior College a huge drag. I then started to wonder whether I was truly satisfied with the way I live - whether I was working on what I was truly interested in.

And that was when on a typical day, while I was tuning into an episode of my favorite anime, I started to admire the talent of the voice actors behind my favorite characters. Inspired by the effort behind voicing many impressive scenes in my favorite anime, I decided to sign up for a 5-day voice acting course to experience what it took to succeed in this industry.

This course definitely made me have many takeaways. Voice actors not only deal with various issues such as long working hours, low wages and low success rates in the industry, but the commitment it takes to stick to their passion and deliver the best for us viewers is something that I definitely admire. Voice acting is a tough profession, and while I may not pursue a career in the industry, this workshop definitely makes me much more inspired by the efforts of our favorite voice actors, even if they receive much less recognition than physical ones.
