My Tuber Internship Experience

In January, I joined Tuber Productions as a social media intern.

My role entailed:

• Pitching, planning and executing ideas for socials content to market the Offshoots Academy brand
• Organising content calendar, ensuring an efficient workflow by setting appropriate deadlines and scheduling content to be published accordingly
• Writing social media captions, blog posts, and newsletters
• Scripting, filming and editing TikToks and Instagram reels (Tutorials, mini-video essays, explainers, and more)
• Assisting the designer on long-form video shoots as a PA
• Engaging in on-ground social media coverage and creating highlight reels of our courses

The position seemed daunting at first having had no prior experience in marketing, but I quickly adapted to the environment thanks to the team's guidance. The internship gave me the opportunity to channel my love for storytelling into content creation and experiment with my creativity. Having always been a 'behind the scenes' kind of girl, it was surprisingly fun 'masquerading' as a TikTok influencer. I particularly enjoyed researching unique insights and trends, and finding engaging ways to relay them to an online audience.

I am endlessly thankful to the Tuber and Offshoots Academy team for everything they've taught me and am excited to further develop my passion for content creation down the road.
