CLAIM YOUR SPACE 2026: STRENGTH IN WHO I AM

what I learned from the KAWSA Youth Summit is that even in my quiet moments, my voice still matters and I don’t have to be loud to create change, as long as I carry courage, purpose, and a heart that’s willing to serve.

I left carrying lessons I didn’t know I needed about myself, about purpose, and about having the courage to show up even when I’d rather stay quiet. I realized that being quiet doesn’t mean I have nothing to give, it just means I move differently, and that’s okay because I’m still capable of making an impact.

I also learned that not everything about me has to be explained to be valid and that I can grow, stand firm, and take pride in who I am, even in silence. It’s okay to be different, what matters is I stay true to myself while growing and serving others.

Let’s embrace the parts of us that we used to question and that we don’t have to hide just to belong. Let us accept ourselves, trust our voices, and have the courage to stand for something, even if we stand differently.
