3 month IA internship with dezign format

My primary goal for this internship was to gain hands-on experience in the events and exhibitions industry and to determine if this is truly the career path I want to pursue in the future. I also hoped to explore the different departments within the industry to discover which area aligned best with my interests and strengths.

Over the course of these three months, although it felt short, I gained valuable insights into how the industry operates behind the scenes. I had the opportunity to observe and participate in various stages of event planning and execution from proposal development to on-site setup and client communications. This gave me a realistic understanding of the complexity, scale, and coordination required to successfully deliver a project.

Professionally, I became familiar with important industry processes and documentation such as job orders, quotations, permits to work, and more. Perhaps most importantly, this internship allowed me to learn more about myself. I discovered some of my strengths, such as task organization, idea generation, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. At the same time, I identified areas for growth particularly in communication and professionalism. I’ve realized the importance of speaking clearly and confidently, especially when interacting with clients or representing the team.
